Living every day hoping it’s the last just ain’t like it used to be, ever since you found a meaning and the life returned to your eyes. It’s been too long since its been like this. In the throes of safety and comfort, a single bloodshot eye opens with urgency. The alarm echoes in a thoughtless mind 5 days a week, you can't ignore it this time, beckoning for life before the sun shines. Hobbling through the routine, these repeated motions are a bore. Soon the sound becomes a dull buzzing. Tuning out, it's familiar, it's just another noise. Eyes closed again. Later in the day and you still haven’t eaten a thing, your body won’t quit this time, it won’t quit ever again. Would it be enough to part with a limb? The air is alive like the sound of a constantly ringing telephone. A vision, softly, sent in lieu of flowers. Would it be enough to part with a limb?
